On December 14, 2010, Donnie Fowler, President and Terry Thomas, attended a meeting at the Department of Transportation on the advancement of the school bus education campaign.
It was clear from the meeting that all of the groups involved are on board with the education campaign and committed to the multiple avenues of messaging ASBC intends to pursue. These messages include: safety, environmental benefits, congestion relief, efficiency and increased student attendance and achievement.
On December 21st, the House passed the DERA reauthorization bill (HR 5809) by voice vote. The legislation passed in the Senate on December 16th and is now cleared to go to the President for his signature. Read More
