Membership Categories

Contractor Member:
Any school bus contractor operator shall be eligible to become a member of NSTA. An independent school bus contract-operator is any person, firm, partnership or corporation operating as owner or lessor of one or more vehicles engaged primarily in the transportation of children to or from school or related events. Annual Dues: $150.00 for the first bus plus $21.00 per each additional bus. The membership year runs from April 1 to March 31.

Manufacturer Member:
Firms, persons, partnerships and corporations engaged in the business of manufacturing or producing school buses, school bus bodies or school bus chassis. Annual Dues: $4,000. The membership runs from January 1 to December 31.

Supplier Member:
Any person, firm, partnership or corporation engaged in the performance of services and the sale of supplies necessary or incidental to the operation of school buses. Annual Dues: $2,000. A single-state supplier engaged in business in only one state: $1000. The membership year runs from January 1 to December 31.

Public Member:
Federal, state, county or local school district officials responsible for or concerned with pupil transportation. Annual Dues: $250. The membership year runs from November 1 to October 31.
