Information

NSTA Newsletter: The NSTA Newsletter is delivered to members via email every other Tuesday. You can sign up for the newsletter by sending your email address to info@yellowbuses.org.

NSTA Toolkits: NSTA has five toolkits -- Outsourcing, Operations, Controlling Fuel Costs, Transit Encroachment and Security Preparedness.  These are available electronically for free to NSTA Members.  The Outsourcing Toolkit is also available in a printed version -- $50 for members and $150 for non-members.

Workers' Comp Insurance: Get the best rates on your Workers' Comp Insurance through NSTA's preferred provider, Keystone Insurers Group.

Vehicle Insurance: Insuring your vehicles is a cost that will never go away so you need to make sure that you get the best value for the coverage you need.

Employee Health Insurance*: Part of keeping your employee turnover rate low is being able to provide great benefits. 

Financial Services Programs

Daimler Financial Line of Credit Program: Need to have financing ready in case you win that bid where you’ll need to purchase additional vehicles? Daimler Financial has a great program for you. You can open a line of credit to finance the purchase of vehicles if needed. There’s no cost to open the line and it will be available to you for one year. Rates are established at the time the vehicles are to be delivered and the documentation and application process is easy to understand.

Blue Bird Financial Services: This program gives members access to preferred rates and special programs to make the most of their working capital. There are four financing programs available:
  • NSTA Member Finance Program: Looking for competitive financing rates to lease or purchase new fleet equipment? BBFS has excellent rates and terms available for NSTA members only!
     
  • Incremental "Green Bus" Fleet Financing: When updating your fleet ahead of your normal replacement schedule to meet 2010 emission standards - you may be eligible for a partial rebate from the EPA. In addition, BBFS can help you finance the remainder.
     
  • New Engine Retrofit Finance Program: BBFS' New Engine Retrofit Finance (NERF)Program is a cost-effective way for you to bring your seasoned buses into compliance with new EPA emissions standards, without having to retire buses from your fleet.
  • Bus Asset Monetization Program: You may be able to extract value from your current fleet through this program. With the strong used shool bus market, 3 - 5 year old buses are retaining their value very well. This program allows you to tap into this value for you to use fpr other business needs.
Discount Parts Programs

Bus Parts Warehouse: Bus Parts Warehouse, a long-time supporter of NSTA, provides significant discounts to NSTA members on all kinds of parts that you use everyday -- at just 15% over distributor net!

IC Parts/Fleetcharge Program: This program provides NSTA members with excellent discounts on parts for your school buses regardless of fleet size. Check out IC's competitive discount pricing and find out more about the Diamond Connection Solutions inventory management system. 

Unity Bus Parts Program
NSTA is pleased to announce another great opportunity for its members to save on parts for their fleet with Unity Bus Parts. The Unity School Bus Parts Program offers NSTA members the following:
  • NSTA members will receive Unity's maximum discount program -- a savings of over 20% based on standard wholesale price including all items in Unity's master catalog and special order items.
  • NSTA members will receive Prepaid Shipping on orders totalling $250 or greater. Seat foams will be shipped with freight added at our lowest carrier cost.
  • All discounts are held for the entire calendar year.
  • NSTA member orders are processed and shipped same day.

Technology, Tire and Fuel Programs

Synovia Discount Program: Looking to add GPS to you fleet to give your customers added value? Synovia provides all NSTA members with a 10% discount on hardware and software purchases.

Zonar Systems Discount Program: NSTA members will receive a 10% discount on all Zonar hardware. .

Mansfield Oil Fuel Savings Program*: Receive the same savings on fuel regardless of your company's size. Ensure that your fuel supply is never interrupted, and get assistance with federal and state excise tax filings, making your record keeping a breeze!

Michelin Tire Program:  NSTA members recieve special discount pricing on tires though the Michelin Program.  Take a look at the program's Pricing List Agreement. Members who also use their Michelin Credit Account (download application) will also receive a 3% rebate back to their Michelin Credit Account.

Office Operations and Human Resources

ADP Payroll Services Program: Save money on payroll processing, 401k management, and other payroll management services through ADP.  Contact the NSTA Central Office at 800-222-6782 for more information.
