Collins Bus Corporation
Spend 40 years building only Type A buses, and your focus becomes the road ahead. Way back in 1967, the company that would become the Collins Bus Corporation built the first Type A bus in North America. And from that first day forward, we’ve never looked back. Collins, Mid Bus and Corbeil products have become sales leaders by first leading the way in innovation and quality. We pioneered flat-floor design. We raised standards of safety by producing our own seats and seat belts. To meet today’s demands for quality and quantity, Collins is again moving forward, developing better ways to manufacture better buses of extraordinary value. One thing is certain. Whether you choose Collins, Mid Bus or Corbeil, we’ll be with you for every mile of the road ahead. Visit our sister companies.

Tomorrow morning (assuming of course that it's a school day), more children will ride to school on one of our products than on any other bus brand in the world. International engines are the industry standard. Our buses offer a number of protective advantages. Sightlines are panoramic, giving drivers a more commanding view of the road. IC Corporation's innovative crossing arms, with controls located behind the bumper, will keep working, and keep protecting kids. An exceptionally wide entryway gives the driver a clear view to the curb. Our buses, conceived of, designed and built entirely by IC Corporation, our conventional, front-engine and rear-engine buses set new standards in technology, reliability, convenience, and comfort.

Zonar Systems
Zonar Systems® provides a complete fleet management solution with powerful Telematics products ranging from their electronic inspection system to a new state of the art GPS device. Zonar’s inspection product known as EVIR® is considered by many to be the “new best practice”. The EVIR system uses a handheld reader and RFID tags located in and around the bus to ensure performance of mandated inspections. Zonar calls this inspection process “verified visual inspections”. The company has recently released a powerful GPS device that was designed from the ground up for pupil transportation. This GPS device works standalone or with the EVIR inspection system. The GPS unit comes in two versions, one uses a radio to transmit the data out of the bus at the end of the route, thus avoiding cellular charges, the other version employs a GSM cellular modem to transmit the data in real time from the bus back to Zonar’s secure servers. Both the Zonar inspection system and their GPS utilize the companies open data format enabling the data collected from Zonar’s devices to seamlessly load into maintenance or route planning software.
