ABOUT
TUCSON

Tucson
(TOO-sahn) is a growing metropolis of 900,000 that keeps getting
better and better. The city's geography is a postcard image of
cactus forests, rolling hills, and craggy mountains. National
and State Parks and Forests ring the city. Tucson lies in the
borderland, a region that blends the cultures of the United States
and Mexico, and has a long history of settlement by ancient Native
American peoples, Spanish explorers, and Anglo frontiersmen. The
weather is mild nearly all the time, just right for all kinds
of fun activities. We think you'll agree, whether you're a new
visitor, just passing through, or a longtime resident re-discovering
hometown treasures, Tucson is Real. Natural. Arizona.
Play
outside any time of year in Tucson. Our warm, pleasant winters
are perfect for outdoor fun.
Come for rugged canyons to explore, mile after mile of pristine
hiking and mountain bike trails and an unbelievably lush desert.
Not to mention our in-your-face mountains and one awesome sunset
after another. Plus, play round after round of some of the most
spectacular golf youve experienced. Thrill your kids with
an authentic Wild West experience, or an amazing tour of Kartchner
Caverns. Go birding, stargazing or pamper your adventurous body
and soul at one of our world-class spas.
