Steven Hey

STEVEN HEY is the President of School Bus, Inc.

School Bus, Inc. was started in 1979 and utilizes over 100 full and par-time employees. It is a 75 bus fleet providing transportation services under contract with the Sioux Falls School District.

In 1984, Mr. Hey received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and in 2001 he received his MBA, both from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He had a private practice for 11 years and became the President of School Bus, Inc. in 1998. Mr. Hey and his wife, Donna, have six children, all of whom enjoy riding the school bus!

Mr. Hey's background includes memberships in: NSTA, NFIRB, US and Sioux Falls Area Chambers of Commerce, the Minnesota and South Dakota School Bus Operator Associations, as well as the Minnesota and South Dakota Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Hey is on the Board of Directors of NSTA.

In 2000, School Bus, Inc. was named one of School Bus Fleet magazine's Great Fleets Across America. Several representatives from School Bus, Inc. have received various prestigious awards including NSTA's Golden Merit Award for it's Chairman (Chuck Hey) and General Manager (Jim Shafer). Chuck Hey is also recognized in the NSTA Hall of Fame.
