Industry Partnerships
American School Bus Council
NSTA is one of the 6 founding partners of the American School Bus Council (ASBC). ASBC is a coalition of the school transportation industry – including public and private transportation providers, school bus manufacturers and state officials responsible for pupil transportation. ASBC was formed in 2006 to educate parents, school officials, and lawmakers about the essential role the yellow school bus plays in the safety, health, security, and readiness of America’s school children. Council members advocate for increased school transportation funding and advances industry standards on safety, security, environment, energy, and access to education that are above and beyond state and federal law.

Coalition for a Democratic Workplace
The Coalition for a Democratic Workplace is a coalition of workers, employers, associations and organizations who are fighting to protect the right to a federally supervised private ballot when workers are deciding whether or not to join a union. We are opposed to the so-called Employee Free Choice Act because it would strip Americans of that right and replace it with a system where your vote is no longer private, and it is made public to your employer, the union organizers and your co-workers.
